Emerging Leaders United presents headshot happy hour
Join United Way’s Emerging Leaders United for a fun and affordable headshot experience: Headshot Happy Hour will take place from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 17, at Shade Bar & Grill in Delta Hotels by Marriott Utica, 200 Genesee St.
Mix and mingle with other local professionals and get your own one-on-one portrait session with Adam Brockway of Luminiferous Media, LLC.
For $40, you will receive one fully edited professional headshot from Brockway, your first drink and building your professional network. For an additional $10, you can reserve one of the first 10 photo slots. Only 50 spots will be available for headshots.
Not interested in a headshot? You can still join happy hour for $10.
All proceeds will benefit United Way of the Valley & Greater Utica Area.

Upstate Cerebral Palsy Inc. moves operational offices
Upstate Cerebral Palsy Inc., under the leadership of Executive Director Geno DeCondo, recently has entered into an agreement to lease new office space spanning over 30,000 square feet in the Utica Business Park.
The newly renovated workplace, located at 125 Business Park Drive, will unite the agency’s administrative functions.
The building is managed by Summit Realty Management, LLC. Dominic Pavia of Pavia Real Estate Services facilitated the lease of this space. The move is slated to begin summer 2019, following completion of building renovations.

Local pest control company wins national award
Pestech Pest Solutions, a family owned and operated company, has been experts in the pest control industry for 30 years.
And in February, Pestech received a national award — Medium Partner of the Year. Pestech was singled out from among similarly-sized companies from across the country based on its responsiveness, inspection techniques, communication skills and the overall impactfulness of its service.
This is the second time in three years that Pestech has been selected for this honor.

Community Bank N.A. welcomes McGrath as branch manager
Community Bank N.A. has announced that Kathleen McGrath has joined its team as branch manager of its Hamilton location.
She brings to the position nearly 40 years of experience in the financial industry.
In her new role, McGrath will oversee the daily operations of the office. She will manage the delivery of the branch’s sales and service activities to ensure operational efficiency and integrity through adherence of policies and procedures.
McGrath joins the Community Bank N.A. team from Berkshire Bank, where she most recently served as branch manager. Prior, she spent time with Bank of America.
HCCC appoints Kallies as systems programmer/analyst
Herkimer County Community College announces the appointment of Julie Kallies to the position of systems programmer/analyst.
Kallies recently was most employed by the Herkimer College as an Academic Support Center Specialist Academic Coach.
Kallies has a bachelor’s degree in psychology and sociology from the State University of New York at Geneseo and a master of science degree in information design & technology from SUNY Polytechnic Institute.
