While we’re pretty sure the slogan, “the happiest place on earth,” is already taken, if the one “the most affordable place in North America” isn’t gone yet, Calaway Park might want to scoop it up.
Calaway Park has been named the Most Affordable Amusement Park in North America by HomeToGo, a website billed as “the world’s largest vacation rental search engine.”
The website ranks 50 amusement parks based on one-day admission, food, parking and accommodations near the park and was released just before the start of the theme park season.
The top two spots were occupied by Canadian amusement parks, with Calaway Park finishing just ahead of Galaxyland at West Edmonton Mall. Quassy Amusement Park and Waterpark in Middlebury, Connecticut came in third.
In case you’re wondering, if you’re looking for a good deal you might want to look somewhere other than the Disneys, Universals and Six Flags of the world.
On the list, Six Flags Great Adventure was in 45th place, Disney’s Animal Kingdom came 46th, Disney Epcot was 47th, the Magic Kingdom came in 48th, Disney’s Hollywood Studios was 49th and Universal Studios Hollywood took 50th spot.
Calaway Park is Western Canada’s largest outdoor family amusement park. In 2019 the park will celebrate their 38th season of family fun.
