MORGANTOWN — The former CEO of Mon Health will go to trial for harassment.
Daryl Duncan appeared before Magistrate Tim Pocious in Monongalia County Magistrate Court on Friday, The Dominion Post reports.
Duncan’s attorney requested a bench trial, which was granted and scheduled for August. The case has seen five hearings canceled, and Duncan’s attorney said that the Magistrate originally assigned to the case retired on March 1 and the Duncan switched to new representation, causing delays, The Dominion Post reports.
Duncan allegedly sent a number of emails to his former employer intending to harass his replacement, and is accused of sending mail to not only his former employer, but also the homes and places of worship of co-workers, The Dominion Post reports.
A letter signed by 28 physicians that indicated Duncan was responsible for resignations and damaging morale, he was placed on leave of absence, and then resigned as CEO in March of 2018.
