A man was shot by an officer Saturday night in Renton after the suspect stabbed another person, according to officials.
Officers responded to a 911 call at 10:07 p.m. to a business in the 200 block of Williams Avenue South. Upon arrival, they found a man verbally threatening other people while waving a knife.
The officers followed the man when he ran inside a business, where he began threatening more people and eventually stabbed one person.
A Renton police officer shot the suspect, who died at the scene.
The stabbing victim was taken to a hospital. The extent of the injuries are unknown.
No officers were injured and a team will review the shooting and conduct an investigation.
