A message in a bottle science experiment by a Long Island School was found nearly 50 years later, ABC 7 is reporting.
An East Patchogue resident found a glass bottle on the beach at Bellport Bay which contained a note, according to the article.
The note reportedly had a Dec. 1, 1972 message that it was a science experiment of students of William Floyd High School learning about Fire Island currents, said ABC 7.
