Soldier’s classic pickup truck is stolen; family offers reward

The reward is now up to $3,000 in Madison County for the recovery of an active-duty military member’s red pickup stolen shortly after the death of an uncle who was storing it.

The 1963 red Chevrolet pickup truck was taken from the 3500 block of Bobo Section Road between June 21 and June 24, the sheriff’s department says. “High sentimental value and the victim is AD military serving abroad,” the sheriff’s department tweeted.

The truck is a family heirloom being stored at the uncle’s house while its owner is stationed overseas, the reward poster says. It was taken and the home ransacked soon after the uncle died.
