Picazo: The new location of Picazo Cafe is scheduled to open (in the old Mint and Liberty spot in Maxwell Village) for dinner daily from 5 to 9 p.m. beginning Monday, April 1. Owners Kina and Sal Chavez are hiring, stop by for an application.
Relaunch: The Reel Fish Shop and Grill will be celebrating its grand re-opening under its new owners, Kevin Kress and Jeff Spencer, the weekend of April 25 to 28, with lots of live music. More information to follow.
Bart Park news: The new incarnation of Bartholomew Estate Winery was due to open in March but the opening has now been delayed to late April. This delay, unfortunately, also includes the park’s hiking trails. When the tasting room opens, there will be a public event and a rotating exhibit of plein-air artists on display in the winery museum.
Bar cart: Prohibition Spirits Distillery, on 8th Street East and at Cornerstone Sonoma, is raising money via Kickstarter to renovate a 1957 Siesta travel trailer into “an epic mobile travel bar.” Visit Kickstarter (trav-l-bar) to learn more.

Sharing info: Rebuild North Bay last week welcomed Rebuild Paradise and the Malibu Foundation for a two-day convening to share what they have learned about organizing neighborhoods, arranging for legal aid, delivering mental health services, navigating the rebuilding process, supporting schools and establishing foundations after a wildfire. Executive Director Jennifer Gray Thompson said that, looking ahead, Rebuild will focus on October, the second anniversary of the North Bay fires, when insurance coverage for temporary rental housing will begin to expire, and to 2020, when new state building codes take effect, pushing up rebuilding costs.
