LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – Special education programs in our area are getting a boost following a fundraising event.
$1,000 was donated to La Crosse’s Northside Elementary Special Education program today.
The money was raised during Aptiv’s “Game On” fundraiser held last month.
The event was created to raise money for organizations who provide services to people with disabilities.
The school was chosen to receive the money by a group that won the event.
“We were able to field a team, four people from our firm and so we were very happy to do it, we had a lot of fun and it was a great, great opportunity,” said Craig Steger, member of the Game On! Winner and partner with Hale, Skemp, Hanson, Skemp and Sleik.
The donation comes a day after a $500 donation was made to the special education program at La Crosse’s Hintgen Elementary.
