What’s your go-to plan for fall family fun?


The air is getting crisper, the sun is setting earlier, the leaves are beginning to turn orange, red and yellow. All the coffee shops are selling pumpkin spice lattes, and the stores are already filled with Halloween costumes, candy and decorations.

Autumn, of course, is more than just trick-or-treating. It’s a time to gather with family for Homecoming games and s’mores around a fire, for cozying up in a favorite sweater and going for a hike with the fallen leaves rustling under your feet.

For many of us, fall wouldn’t be fall without that special trip to the apple orchard, haunted house and, of course, the pumpkin patch. In our family, October cannot go by without a hayride to choose the perfect pumpkin at Boyert’s Greenhouse and Farm in Medina – even though the “kids” are well into their 20s now.
